No credits
Katto counts videos, not minutes. A 90-minute podcast costs exactly what a 10-minute vlog costs. We publish a dated dataset of 24 tools showing that every other one in this category meters by minutes, credits or hours.
The API is on the free plan
The REST API and the MCP server are included on every plan, the free one included. Most tools in this category put them behind a paid or enterprise tier.

Is the commission recurring?+
For the first twelve months, yes. You earn 25% of every payment a customer you referred makes during their first year, then it stops. We would rather pay a clear, capped commission we can sustain than an unlimited one we might have to cut later.
How much is that in practice?+
25% of what they actually pay. On the annual plan the first payment covers twelve months, so it is €36 in one go. On the monthly plan it is €3.75 a month, for twelve months.
What happens if they cancel after two months?+
You keep what was already confirmed and the rest simply does not happen. We only pay commission on money we actually collected, which is why we can afford to pay it for a full year.
Who can join?+
Anyone who publishes: reviewers, newsletters, YouTube channels, communities, course creators. We review by hand, and we do accept people who have criticised us.
How long does attribution last?+
60 days from the first click. If your reader subscribes within that window, the sale is attributed to you. Our funnel is slow on purpose, a free plan then a trial, so a shorter window would quietly lose you sales you earned.
Do free signups count?+
No, only paid subscriptions. A free signup that upgrades later still counts, as long as it happens inside the 60-day window.
When do you get paid?+
Once a month, as soon as your balance passes €25. Bank transfer or PayPal, in euros.
Can I get a discount code for my audience?+
Ask us. We can create one tied to your account so the sales still count as yours. A code and a commission are not cumulative, so we will agree which of the two applies before we issue it.
The terms, in short
- Commission runs for twelve months from a customer's first payment, then stops.
- No paid search on Katto brand terms.
- Do not present yourself as Katto, and do not imply we endorse your other products.
- Referring yourself does not earn a commission.
- A refunded or charged-back payment cancels the commission attached to it.
- We can change the rate or end the programme with 30 days' notice. Commissions already confirmed are paid regardless.
