- Our reframing engine. It decides how to fit a 16:9 shot into a 9:16 frame shot by shot, rather than once for the whole clip.
- AI Hook
- A short line burned onto the opening seconds of a clip, meant to stop the scroll.
- MCP (Model Context Protocol)
- The open standard that lets an AI assistant call a tool directly. Katto runs a hosted MCP server, so an agent can create and fetch clips without a browser.

How does the free plan work?
You get 2 videos per month, forever, no credit card required. Each video gets auto captions in 99 languages (16 style presets), Miru AI reframe, hashtag suggestions, and SRT export. Clips are exported in 720p with a small Katto watermark.
What's the difference between Free, Solo and Creator?
Free gives you 2 videos a month (up to 30 min) in 720p, with Miru AI reframe and a small watermark. Solo unlocks 10 videos a month (up to 60 min) in 1080p with no watermark, at €4.90/month billed yearly (€58.80/year) or €8.90 month to month. Creator goes to 25 videos a month (up to 90 min) and adds AI dubbing in 19 languages, scheduling and priority processing, at €11.90/month billed yearly (€142.80/year) or €14.90 month to month.
What counts as "one video"?
One video = one YouTube link or one file upload. Each video produces a ranked set of clips — typically 8 to 20 depending on length and content (up to 30 for long, rich sources) — and you pick which ones to render. Your quota resets on the 1st of each month.
What formats and lengths are supported?
YouTube links, MP4, MOV, WebM, and MKV files up to 90 minutes. Uploads up to 3 GB on Free, 5 GB on Solo and Creator.
How long are my clips available?
On the Free plan, your clips stay available for 72 hours. On Solo and Creator, they stay in your library until you delete them.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your dashboard in one click. You keep your plan's access until the end of your billing period.

How does Katto's pricing compare to Opus Clip or Klap?
We count videos, not credits or minutes: 25 videos is 25 videos, and a 90-minute podcast costs exactly what a 10-minute upload costs. Under the hood, transcription runs on our own GPUs instead of per-minute API calls, and AI auto-corrects proper nouns in 99 languages with no dictionary to maintain.
