Your language is detected from the browser on the first visit and then remembered. Changing it never loses what you were doing.
The marketing pages carry hreflang and separate sitemap entries per language, so a search engine serves the right one rather than guessing from your location. The app itself does not need that, because nobody searches for a dashboard.
