Cut a clip into shots and frame each one
Katto detects every camera change, you add your own cuts with the S key and drag any boundary onto the exact frame. Each shot keeps its own framing, and a magnet snaps b-roll, text and sounds onto the cuts.
A clip is split into its shots, and each one can take its own framing: fit, fill, split, stacked or a grid.
A single framing for a whole clip is wrong whenever the source changes shot, which is most of the time. A wide establishing shot and a close up need opposite treatment, and applying one to both wastes half the frame.
You can also cut a shot by hand where the automatic detection missed a transition, which happens on slow dissolves.
