Downloads always save as a file, and every clip has subtitles to download
The quick 720p download and the batch export could open the clip in a browser tab instead of saving it. Fixed, and the .srt download now exists on every clip.
We tested every export button with a script that clicks them the way you would. Two of them misbehaved: the quick 720p download and the batch export sometimes opened the video in a new tab instead of saving it to your computer.
The cause was the preview. The page had already loaded the same file to play it, the browser kept that copy, and the copy lacked the header that lets a page save a file from our storage. The download now asks for a fresh copy every time.
Clips you create yourself from the transcript, and clips added with Show more, had no subtitle file to download. The .srt is now built from the clip's own word timings, so every clip has one.
Two smaller fixes from the same pass: the Instagram message asked you to connect Facebook and a Page, which our Instagram connection does not need, and the preview's icons no longer sit on top of the export window.
