Links from Kick, Medal, Loom, Dropbox, Google Drive, LinkedIn and Facebook
Paste a link from eight more places, including a direct link to a video file. The ? next to the link box lists every source that works.
Until now a link had to come from YouTube, Twitch, Vimeo, Zoom, Rumble or Dailymotion. Everything else meant downloading the file and uploading it again. You can now paste a link from Kick (past broadcasts and clips), Medal.tv, Loom, Dropbox, Google Drive, LinkedIn and Facebook, or a direct HTTPS link to a video file.
Each source was tested end to end on the live service before this note was written: a real link, a real download, real clips at the end.
The link has to be one a logged-out visitor could open: public, or shared with anyone who has the link. A Drive file shared only with your team won't open for us either.
A direct file link is checked before anything is fetched: HTTPS only, a public internet address, and every redirect checked again. We ran fifteen hostile links against it and all fifteen were refused.
Not included, and why: X, because public videos no longer download without a logged-in account; Riverside, StreamYard and Frame.io, because recordings sit behind a login. For those, download the file and upload it.
