One set of facts across the site
Since Solo went on sale the site contradicted itself in several places: the upload limit had three different values, clip retention two, and the pricing index still gave Creator as the cheapest paid plan.
Solo went on sale on 4 October and the rest of the site did not all hear about it. The pricing index, the page that carries the line never a guessed number, still listed Creator at 14.90 as our cheapest paid plan. The home page, the FAQ and the structured data a machine reads first all described two plans where there are three.
The upload limit was stated as 1 GB in eleven languages and as 3 GB in the code. Clip retention was stated as 48 hours in the privacy policy and the terms, and as 72 hours in the file we publish for AI assistants. The code says 72 hours on the free plan and no automatic deletion on a paid one, which means a legal page was promising more deletion than actually happens.
The legal page also carried a price grid from before 30 June, in English and in Japanese, on the page where the displayed price is binding. Three price changes had gone around it because it is written into the page rather than read from the one place prices live.
Two sentences are gone rather than corrected. Katto works best with talking-head content contradicted the thing the product is built for, which is clipping video without speech. And Why is Katto cheaper than X, which appeared on roughly 190 comparison pages in their structured data, has become a neutral comparison: a claim about someone else's price stops being true the day they change it, without anyone here finding out.
The whole thing was then checked the other way round: every number with a unit, on every page served, against the values read from the code. 692 facts across 58 files.
2 videos a month, no card. What is still being built is on the roadmap.
