Stock B-roll browser, play before you place
Browse royalty-free stock footage without leaving the editor: results fill the panel as you type, hovering a clip plays it, and one click drops it on the timeline at your playhead. Or upload your own B-roll. Katto can still find the moments for you and suggest footage for each one.
Search a stock library from inside the editor, watch a clip play in the panel, and drop it on the timeline only once you have seen it.
Before this, choosing b-roll meant picking from thumbnails. A thumbnail tells you the subject and nothing about the motion, which is the half that decides whether a shot works over a sentence.
You can also bring your own file. An uploaded clip follows exactly the same path as a stock one, so nothing about the render changes depending on where the footage came from.
