The full editor on your phone
Phones now open the same editor as a computer: tools in a bar along the bottom, subtitles and titles you drag with a finger on the preview, the transcript one tap away.
Until now a phone got a reduced editor with four things in it: caption style, title, text and trim. Everything else meant finding a computer. Phones now open the full editor, with the same tools, laid out for a narrow screen.
The tools sit in a bar along the bottom and each one opens as a sheet that slides up, leaving the preview visible above it. The transcript is the first item in that bar rather than a column taking half the screen.
Tap the subtitles or a title on the preview and drag it where you want it. A small bar appears while you do, with a shortcut to that element's settings, a delete button for titles, and Done. Nothing opens over the picture you are trying to place things on.
Selecting part of the transcript works with a finger too: hold the first word, tap the last. That is what makes Create clip reachable on a phone.
The transcript panel and the Create clip window were only in English and French. Both are now in all eleven languages of the site.
