Clip YouTube videos and Twitch VODs from the video page
Clip with Katto adds a button under every YouTube video and Twitch VOD. Click it and Katto opens with that video ready, no link to copy. Or mark a start and an end while you watch, and Katto renders exactly that moment as one vertical clip.

What it adds
A button under the player. It opens Katto's create screen with the video filled in: pick your settings and start, as with a pasted link. If you're logged out, the video is still there after you log in or sign up. Shorts are skipped, they're already vertical.
Press Start and End at the right times while the video plays, then Clip this moment. Katto renders exactly that passage as one vertical clip, captioned and reframed. A moment lasts 5 seconds to 3 minutes and counts as one video of your plan.
Just watched something worth keeping? One click clips the 60 seconds before the current time.
The toolbar icon sends the page you're on to Katto, so it also works for the other sources Katto accepts, like Vimeo, Kick, Loom or Google Drive links.
What it can see
The extension asks for one permission, activeTab: it reads the address of the current tab only when you click its icon. Its button and bar run on youtube.com and twitch.tv only.
It collects no data, sends nothing anywhere, holds no account information and loads no remote code. The Start and End marks stay in the page's memory and are cleared when the video changes. The button is a plain link to katto.tech; your usual Katto session does the rest.
Its labels follow the language YouTube or Twitch is displayed in, in 11 languages.
